My Special Sister!

You can look long and hard for a special friend -- one who will always be there for you,
one who loves you just the way you are, one who will tell you like it is - bad or good,
one who cares when things go wrong, one who rejoices in your good times. That person
for me is my sister Jurilei, Jur for short! She's always been there, though I'm not sure
we've always been friends. We grew up together, shared a bedroom, shared a home, but never shared our hearts back then. We went through the same heartaches, pains, abuses, and disappointments, but we kept it to ourselves behind well-built walls and locked doors in our hearts. It wasn't until about 10 years ago we "found" each other hearts, and we have been friends ever since. One of God's greatest gifts to me was to bring her here to Florida and have her call home on the same piece of property I live on. She is strong, brave, courageous -- and proved that to me as she struggled through the uncertainties and demands of colon cancer and a broken leg at the same time. But through it all, she pressed on, faced her fears, and taught me once again that God IS in control of all things, God DOES answer prayers of His children,
and that my Sister is my very special friend.

After spending a long time trying to figure out how to leave this comment, now I am wondering what to say! Cora is my sister and after reading her post about me, I need to say something. I want all to know that I could not have made it through my challenges over the past few years without Cora's support. When I graduated to using a cane, the doctor explained about canes...they are used for support, to keep us balanced, and to keep us on our path. Cora is my emotional cane!! She have me support, kept me on my path, and kept me balanced! I love this blog, love her writings. I am, however, waiting for her to have some inspiration to write about her wonderful dog, Buster!!!

Love you, Cor!!

Oh Cora and Juri...you two have made me smile and warmed my heart. There is nothing like the love between sisters. I have two and they both mean the world to me. They have been there for me through thick and thin, and I know I would be lost without them.

Juri...I want you to know that you have one of the most sweetest, kindest sisters I know. She has helped me grow spiritually and has taught me so much since the first day I met her in our first prim group together. Her writing inspires me and I find myself looking for something new to read from her daily. I am so Thankful that Our Lord put Cora in my path. I believe it was meant to be.
As for Buster, oh...he will become such a wonderful and special little guy over time and he will give you all kinds of inspiration to write about him! I am sure of it!
Blessings & Hugs,
Kimmie

Kimmie...thanks for the thoughts about my Sis. I do know how special she is...and happy to know that you know it, too!!!

As for her dog, Buster, well, if Cor makes it to the point where this dog becomes a sweet and loving pet, I am going to give her a metal of honor!!! No one knows how much patience Cor has shown trying to raise this little hound! I thought I had it bad when I got my dog....Cor's dog is so smart and adores her...but he is a bad monster, constantly talking back to her and trying her patience. We are praying that "bad boy school" will help out!

As for Cor's help in your spiritually growth...I know, I know. Cor is one of those Christians that is not judgmental, although she stands firm, very firm, on the lessons she has learned from the Bible, God's word. She never "lowers the bar" in her beliefs. I admire her for this!

This blogging can be kinda fun, but is Cora supposed to jump in now and then with a comment???

OK, you guys! Enough about me! Thanks for all the sweet, drippy stuff!!!

Here it is after midnight and Buster is going strong, so I'm looking for something to do. I'll catch on to this blogging thing and maybe think of something you can join in and talk with me about!

Thanks for looking and reading at my feeble attempts!!!! Cora
