Whispered Gratitudes

It’s Monday today. The day I usually post my list of gratitudes in a community of people who are living in the moment and seeing there what God has so graciously given. It has been 16 weeks for me. And perhaps these have been the richest of times because I have never realized before how much God has blessed me. But underneath, there has been this knowing thing going on in my heart ---- the wanting to add the “deeper” gratitudes, the “eucharisteo,” the hard thank you’s that get all blurred as you look up with tear-filled eyes and look for the Father’s face. I have not put them on my lists. Not because I am not thankful and unable to say them. They are just too personal to post in a public place. Do you have those? Do you keep a separate journal for these? Today, just putting these numbers in their place bring a lump to my throat and a sigh is whispered with each one. I know He hears. . .

505. . . . .

506. . . .

507. . . . .

508 . . . . .

509. That He understands, accepts my whispers, and keeps them safe within His heart!

Join so many others, won’t you, as they continue to share in the community of gratitude with Ann VosKamp here:

I'm so thankful we serve a God who totally understands, cares enough to bend down and hear our whispers, and envelopes us with His tremendous love!
May you always feel His love and find many, many, more blessings.
And, thank you again for being a blessing :)

I know what you're saying. I've places deep in my heart too and I've not written them out publicly yet. I don't know if I can. But I know that the Lord knows as only He knows me so intimately.

Thank you for your visit to Heart Choices. I would love to have you be in my Culinary Camp class. Maybe I should do one for us adults too? How fun would that be? Great idea!!!

Blessings and love,
Debbie

I am sure we all have those 'deeper' gratitudes. Isn't is beyond wonderful that HE hears, that HE knows, that HE understands. Such a gift!

I am so glad you chose to include these and tell us about them in this way. Father God knows your heart and whether whispered or shouted, hard eucharisteo, is just that, hard... but worth going through. So proud of you Cora- thank you for sharing this!

Cora, this is so beautiful. I got Ann's book, and I read it every morning as part of my prayer time.
Thank you for sharing even your unspoken thankfuls, because it made me thankful for my own.
Love, Debra

Cora, discretion being the better part of valor I decided to leave my comment for your latest post down here in this one. First of all I heart your bravery. You know I heart your faith. You know how much I heart that you read me. I really value having you around – so you do what you need to do to make sure that happens. God bless you Cora :-)
