Daybook Entry or July 14, 2008

Photobucket

FOR TODAY (July 14, 2008)...

Outside My Window I'm noticing how tall my Sycamore tree has grown and how wide it's branches are this year. It's been just a few years since it was planted there, needed a little stick to hold it up straight and tall! Now here it is, giving beautiful shade on hot, sunny days, and shelter for all my little birds.

I am thinking... About tomorrow. I see the surgeon tomorrow, will hear the results of the biopsy, the plans for surgery, etc. The song goes through my mind,

"I don't know
About tomorrow
I just live from day to day
And I don't borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to gray
And I don't worry about my future
For I know what Jesus said
And today He walks beside me
For He knows what lies ahead
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to under-understand
But I, I know, I know, I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds, who holds my hand.

I am thankful for... So many loving, praying friends!

From the kitchen... Pancakes the size of manhole covers! Thought I would try to lose a little weight. . . . . tomorrow.

I am wearing... A REAL blouse! (what can I say??? since I can't wear a bra, the tee shirt had to go!), black slacks, barefoot!

I am creating... Lots of piles! Piles of coordinated fabric to be cut, piles of quilts to be cut, piles of garbage to go out, piles of wash to be done, etc.

I am going... Post office with lots of packages to mail.

I am reading... Way too much online about breast cancer, rates of survival, treatment plans. . . I know more than I ever wanted or needed to know, but feel I know nothing.

I am hoping...
I have the courage and strength to go through the next few months! I'm feeling this more as each day goes on.

I am hearing... QUIET!!!! I just LOVE it when Buster is sleeping and the cat is sleeping at the same time!

Around the house...
The lawn needs mowing. It has rained so much after a long, dry drought, so I hope the rain holds off long enough to get it mowed. Otherwise, we will need a hay baler!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week. . . I haven't thought past tomorrow! I'm sure this surgeon is planning out my life for me. But I am trying to tie up all loose ends with Ebay and getting everything mailed out just in case surgery comes sooner than planned.

Here is picture thought I am sharing... "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass." -- Psalm 37:5.

I'm searching my heart to find if I REALLY trust the Lord with what is around that bend in the road and that He will walk me through it. . . . .

Yes, Jesus is there, walking with you around that corner - and the next, and the next. And we who are your friends are holding you up in prayer. Be certain of those two things.

Yes, he'll walk you through, better yet he'll even carry you. So many times throughout my day, you enter my thoughts. I know you'd rather not take this cup, but you must see how God is using you to spread his word and love. Your already an inspiration to many people, with your enduring strength and unwavering faith. Just look at how many people your witnessing too, powerful, isn't it? God will be with you tomorrow, as well as all of us, Love Rose

Yes ma'am we are blessed to NOT know about tomorrow - as my dear friends' grandmother (stricken with severe dementia)would say when she couldn't remember who someone was - "I'm so sorry - I don't know you" --then breaking in to a huge smile she'd add - "but I know my Jesus - yes I know my Jesus." Bless you - whatever happens only happens one moment at a time - you can't handle tomorrow - but today - you'll be given the strength for today.

Cora, You're in my prayers many times through the day. I like the looks of that road. It looks well lit, wide, cool and full of bird songs. Yes, I really like it.And you know, I almost think I see Jesus, bending over with a towel thrown over His shoulder, and a basin of cool sweetly scented water by His feet. Your feet are in the basin, and He's looking at you with a look just for you, and you alone.
But there are many on that road too. He wants you to meet them and give them a healing message from Him. I feel you will do that someday.
Love, Debra

Cora: Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Tomorrow just remember one thing: The task ahead of us is NEVER as great as the power behind us! I will be praying for you. Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Much love - Raquel XO

Hey Cora - I'll be thinking of you and praying for you to have the strength and the faith you need tomorrow and in the days to come.

When I find myself in times of trouble I tend to have the song "I Shall Not Be Moved" going through my head. Stay strong and keep the faith.

We are with you in spirit.

You're a pile maker? Me too! It drives my husband crazy. That's why when he has a day off from work, I tend to not do much around the house.

Just know that my husband & I will be praying for you in the days to come. The Lord will be there and give you peace - I know from experience. We don't always know where our path may lead but we can know that our Savior goes before us and leads the way. Was it you that QUOTED The song MY LORD KNOWS THE WAY THRU THE WILDERNESS -- ALL I HAVE TO DO IS FOLLOW? Don't remember where I read it. Just remember - there are so many friends praying for you - even though most of us have never met except on these pages. Jesus will walk you through the days to come. His promises are true. Keep trusting Him.

Thank you so much for the kind comment. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I take great comfort in this verse and pray that you will find peace in it.

For I am the LORD, your God,
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. - Isaiah 41:13

I just heard about your situation from another blog, and I wanted to just encourage you. YOu already know the answer to your deepest need- it is in and through Jesus and His suffering, His stripes, His pain. We have life, healing, and victory win and through his blood tht He shed on the cross. You already ahve that paid to your account so you can look up in God's glory as a joint heir with Christ. Praise God! You have the victory and you can rest in God's perfect peace as Jesus carries you through this.
