Help me Pick the best of Three Evils!!!!!

I'm really laying myself out here, but would love to get your opinions!!!!! We did quite a bit of laughing over this, and believe me, Buster thinks all three are just terrible! He doesn't understand the bald head, and thinks the wigs are something to tear apart!

But here I am, in all my glory. I can't believe how "old" I'm looking in these pictures! I've aged ten years in the past months!!!! Maybe a LOT of makeup would have helped some!!!! But you get the point!

Now. . . tell me which you like better. . . The perfect blond, the streaked look who needs a touch up, or just bare bottomed, smoothie, all natural bald? Trying to figure out which of the men in my family I look most like here. Personally, I think I look like an escaped convict. Add a couple of tatoos and I could pull off a bank robbery, don't you think????

OK: Here goes the pictures:

Dear Cora, I like the middle picture of you with the blonde wig. It is a very becoming style for you and you look marvelous in that shade of pink. :-)

Love and prayers, Debbi

I like the top picture with the blonde a little straighter hair. It looks very natural. However, I like the bald one too. I'm a firm believer in "it is what it is", so why try and hide anything.

In my humble opinion, I think #1 and #3! When you feel you need a cover up, #1! And when you are feeling to go au natural, well jst do it! It's a badge fo courage!

Hi Cora! I agree with anonymous. I like the middle picture. It seems to fit your style and just you in general. It looks very good on you. Way to put yourself out there. Why not? You look wonderful!

Nicole

Hi Cora, I like the middle picture. I'll bet you also have some pretty hats and scarves that you look beautiful in. And if you don't want a wig or hats or scarves, go for the bald look. Your inner beauty will always shine through.

I like the first one, you are such a sweet lady cora!! Anyone that you choose will work though! Have a great day!~Wendy

Dear Cora, first let me just say when I saw your dear face, it just brought tears to my eyes ... the face of a dear friend who means so very much to me! I just want to give you a hug.

Now to business ~ of the two wigs, I like the first one. Very natural and feminine. However, I really like your third photo. I honestly think you look just beautiful. Your face is so kind and you don't need hair to share your gentle smile.

I think most of all you need to do what makes you feel comfortable. Will it be too much to keep up with the wig? Do you want to wear it? Or will it just drive you crazy? Or would you feel more comfortable with your head covered?
Just some thoughts ...

Colton & Luke just walked in and I asked them which they like the best and they both chose Wig #2. And believe me I had to scroll up & down about ten times before they could make decision. LOL

Hugs,
Lea

Just had to tell you that I must be really tired ... when I first read the title I thought it said
"Help Me Pick the Best of Three Elvis's". I thought, I didn't know Cora liked Elvis????

I must need a nap already! LOL

I totally love the third picture best...you are smiling in it!!! :)
I think you look great with whichever you feel more comfy in...or just mix it up! Why not? You can have fun with it!!! :)

I HAVE to tell you...my family is just getting over being super sick with the flu bug. I was throwing up....had a headache and felt sick and weak...and I thought of you and honestly can't comprehend how you are dealing with the chemo. You are sooo strong and your strength and courage amaze me!!!

LindaSue said...

Hey sweet friend - glad you are keeping that sense of adventure alive - I won't post pictures of myself and I haven't had chemo! Your eyes are wonderful - if one is choosing - my DH voted #2 being a little perkier and of course like everyone else - I agree your natural look #3 if you are comfortable with it - all up to you gal. Will continue to pray for your strength, comfort and healing - and a lot of giggles along the way - life without laughter is like a day without --
well without much of anything isn't it?

I love the look of all three darling, it's the look of *still here*. I admire you for your outlook on everything and I have grown very fond of your spirit. Fight, and don't stop once, you're going to beat it, I can feel it in my bones. Deb

Cora,
I love em all. They each say something different. #1 says comfortable, casual. #2 says younger, and more energy. #3 says this feels goooooood!! But with your smile and those eyes......any look you choose will work. I will keep praying for your peace of mind, and heart.

Hey Miss Cora...
I think the first picture looks like "Classy Cora"- the kind of look you would put on some stylish khakis and go to the mall or meet friends for lunch... the second look is "Sophisticated Cora"- add some big sparkly earrings and a little black dress for a night on the town! And the third picture looks like "Comfortable Cora"- a blue jeans and t-shirt everyday look!
And I personally think all 3 looks are beautiful on you!

Anonymous said...

I like the #1 too but they are both nice, you do look nice in pink too...and I would go without while at home, why not? unless the wigs make you feel better...

Ann said...

I vote for number 1 and number 3!

OUR BEEEEAUTIFUL MISS CORA FACE! ~ I don't recall seeing any pics of you other than your blog photo! I'm so happy to get to see you!!! Not looking at anything anyone else wrote... or thinks, but honestly I LOVE NUMBER 3 the best coz it is YOUUUU! I love your beautiful and radiant smile. Just as I knew it WOULD BE! If you want hair ... I like the first one... the hair is very pretty!
Now you tell Buster he aint gonna get any scoobysnacks tearin up your wigs* ;)
Love ya Cora .....smoochyHOLYKISS!

If you feel comfortabale with the third one, that is my choice. I felt comfortable around my family and friends when my hair was almost gone, but if I went out somewhere, I either wore my wig, which is so hot, or I wore a headscarf with detachable bangs. I like both wigs.

I love my headscarfs and stil wear my blond bangs even though all my hair is back. It makes me feel like a fem fatale. LOL I hated the turban look, although some people can carry that off.

Sweet Cora,

Your beautiful in all or none. To know you is to love you, with, or without hair.....

Love you,

Cora,
Hard choice. Your biggest smile seems to be when you are bald! I think if you want to wear the wig out I would pick number 1. Knowing how dogs are I can imagine Buster playing tug of war with that wig!

Juri said...

Oh, Cora....I have to go with the others that pick No. 3...I love the peach fuzz and I love the smile!!! Of course, we should admit to everyone that I took that picture and was making you laugh! But you do look pretty in all three of them...and also in your new hats! So, you are going to have to go with how you are feeling...at least you won't have to worry about a bad hair day!

Plese let me know. Please.

Let's see--I say #2 when you feel like a "BLONDE" and #3 when you just want to go natural. You have the sweetest smile. I know, do all three and leave people guessing.....Julie

Hi Cora, You are beautiful no matter which wig you pick. I do like the middle picture the best, why not keep and where them both.
My cousin is dealing with colon cancer at this time and one bright spot has been wearing different wigs. She has blonde ones, red ones, spiky ones, you name it she has it. She found a gold mine of new wigs at Goodwill, needless to say she had a ball trying on.
God Bless and take care
Your friend,
Shanda

Cora, I think you look all natural and happiest in the third one. I just need to make you a cute hat to go along with the nice smile. Oh happy day! Jesus smiles apond you for sure!

Hello dear friend,
It's fun, getting to vote, and I like all three. You made me laugh hard talking about looking like a convict with tatoos! When I was bald from the brain surgery, I had the nurses cover the mirror in my room. It took me a week or so to get brave. What a wimp. When I finally got the courage, I looked, and saw my brother's face staring back at me-or some MAN, for sure! Not fun...Then, one day my room mate was out, and a different nurse came in and asked me if my room mate Mr. So and so was around. SHE thought I WAS a MAN!!! She must have, because there is no co-ed hospital rooms! Oh, I can laugh now, but it was not funny then! I think I pulled the sheets over my head for a while!!!
Really, you do look great with no hair, and I bet you'll like the feeling of it after a while.
You're in my prayers. So good to catch up on your blog. Thank you for the tremendous comment on mine. It was like a blessing to me.
Love, Debra

To be honest, all pictures look great.. but I know you're trying to make us choose one, so I'll go with number 1 :)

I think it looks most natural.. I can imagine there will be days where you don't want everybody to know what's going on.. and I think the first one will look nicest ;)

greetings from holland!

Hi! Cora,
My pick is the middle picture, I like the soft curls and that color hair is flattering on you. To me the curls give you a more youthful look. Pink is your color! and it brightens up blonde hair.
That's my vote! :-)
I really admire your courage!!
Praying for you.
Have a great weekend.

Which ever you fell the most comfortable in, is the one I choose. I am partial to #3, it won't bind or slide and since it is so hot it will keep you cool. You never have to shampoo it, roll it, comb it or keep up with it. Who ever said we must have hair to be attractive, smart or funny. When it is raining, it won't frizzle, when it is humid, it won't go limp and imagine no split ends. Think I just talked myself into shaving my head. love ya, Rose

Hi Cora,
You are doing great. I'm so proud of you.
Now the way I see it, you can have as many looks as you want. I think both hair pieces looks really good,so wear either one that you like on that day. Don't want the natural look but don't want to wear a hair piece? Wear a pretty scarf. "VERY FRENCH".and YOU CAN TELL FOURTUNES. OK, not sure if I spelled that right. What ever you decide to wear you will look beautiful, because you are a beautiful person inside and out.

I love both of the wigs Cora!! You look beautiful as a blond!! I also think you have to do whatever you feel comfortable doing. Your bald head is like a crown of courage and strength. I do think you have to decide on weather or not the wig is too much to mantaine as well.Whatever your decision is you are a beautiful woman inside and out!!Blessings!!

StitchinByTheLake said...

I know that wigs aren't the most comfortable things so if it were me I'd probably go without most of the time. But if that bothered me or if I was going somewhere special - well the second one makes your face look thinner. And I'm all about anything that makes any part of me look thinner. :) blessings, marlene

Cora!
You are the most gorgeous woman!!! After reading your post in our group, I was leary of visiting this post. But I was taken back by how great you look with no hair!!! You have such beautiful, strong features and that light just shines through those amazing eyes!!!

I think you should just play with all the different looks depending on your mood. Funky hat or scarf when you're feeling sassy, go "au natural" when you're in the warrior mood and want to give strength to others, and alternate the wigs when you're in the mood to just "blend in"! My vote on the wigs would be the second one with waves. I think because of the waves, it will keep it's natural appearence better and it looks great on you.

Prayers & Hugs... *Linda*

You and I don't know each other. I followed your sister's blog here. My sister too has cancer. I love all 3 of your pictures because you are breathing in all of them. You get to choose each day which doo you do. But you remember when you look in the picture and think you look 10 years older, you are breathing by God....you are breathing!

Mona said...

Cora, You look beautiful in all of the photos!! So my humble opinion, choose the look you desire for the way you feel each day! Wig, hat, scarf, or bald it doesn't matter. Your inner beauty shines through in each of the pix. Just continue to allow that little gospel light inside your heart to shine!!
Blessings!

Hello Cora~ My personal opinion is your beautiful from the inside out! You should be who you are and wear a wig if you want to... and if so make it the one that makes you feel the most comfortable! I find that the best beauty comes from with in and you are truly a wonderful person which ever you choose! ((hugs))

Cora, you are just beautiful no matter what! Your eyes tell the whole story of what a beautiful lady you are! There are pretty cloth head wraps, I'm not sure what they are called, if you don't want to fuss with a wig. You look great with both wig pictures. Hope you are feeling better, blessings, Kathleen

2 because it brightens up your face and I like 3 because you can go natural or wear a pretty hair scarf. or a comfortable hat. either way you choose you are beautiful my

I like the first one. However, my Mom found when she went through her chemo that there were days that her scalp felt so sensitive and irritated that it was just better to let it all hang out or wear a really, really soft cap. And I agree with Debbi - fantastic shade of pink on you!

Well, dear Cora, in my opinion, you should go with choice number 3! Honestly, it is a glorious you, with the sweet smile, and those beautiful eyes, I can hear God saying, "here comes my girl".
BUT, if you must wear a wig, #2 tis fitting and lovely for you.

Good Morning Cora,

Yesterday I was in the grocery store looking over the roast beef pondering making your recipe this weekend and thinking of you. One can hardly imagine praying in the grocery store but I did and I can't seem to get you off of my heart or prayer list, so pray without ceasing I do.

Hair, who decided it was so important any way? I think you look beautiful in all three pictures so what ever you feel like when you get up...that's what you should go with! That's the least of your worries isn't it?

My Dad is over 3 years into his treatment. His survival rate for the type of cancer is 2. Praise the Lord!

You are in my thoughts and prayers!
Hugs and blessings,
Kathi :)
